What makes us different?

While other resume writing companies claim to provide you with a customized resume, the truth is they just dump your information into a template and send it back to you. Writing custom resumes take time and that’s what Resume Muse does. When you purchase our services, we start out by sending you a Custom Resume Analysis that is specifically tailored to each position you’ve held. The questions are directed at fleshing out more information on your employment and uncovering skills, accomplishments and experience that will effectively sell you as a potential employee. Clients who don’t already have a resume will receive a questionnaire that we’ve developed to provide us with the specific information we need to get started. Answering questions is only the first step to the process!

Once we receive your completed Customer Resume Analysis or questionnaire, we will create a rough draft of your resume and email it back to you for review. We will be looking at content context. Making sure that we have a solid understanding of the position you held and what your specific job specifications were. We believe resume writing is a joint collaboration and that a resume is only as good as the information provided. That’s why we go beyond what’s provided, ask more questions and focus on what makes you one in a million!

Once you’ve reviewed the rough draft, we ask for your feedback and comments. We will then tweak the resume, make changes and put it into a finalized format. But the process still doesn’t stop there. We will email you back the 2nd draft for your review and approval before we finalize the document and email back to you in Word and PDF format. If additional changes still need to be made, we will continue the process until you are satisfied with the final document. Your satisfaction is our reputation!

YES! All information sent to Resume Muse will be kept complete confidential. We will never sell your information to another company or share your information outside of our company.

How long until I receive my initial draft?

Once we receive your payment, the completed questionnaire and/or copy of your resume with the Custom Resume Analysis, you will receive your first draft in 3-5 business days. After you've reviewed the draft, please email us outlining specific revisions or your permission to draft the final copy.

Once I have approved the final copy, what will happen next?

We will email you your resume in two file formats—MS Word (.doc)and PDF (you will need Adobe Acrobat to access the file). These formats will allow you to copy paste to company web sites or on-line applications.

Can I meet with a representative in your office?

Resume Muse is a virtual office. We work with clients via email and occasionally via telephone.

I may want to pursue several career paths. Can one resume do this for me?

Yes! However you will need different cover letters to highlight the skills applicable to each career path.

What if I lose my resume?

Just email us and we will email you a copy (in both applications). There is no charge for this service as we will warehouse your resume in our data files indefinitely.

What if I need to come back to you in a couple of years to update my resume?

No problem! Your resume will be warehoused in our data files. We would be happy to update your resume for a fee of $25. The $25 dollar fee becomes applicable to all resume/cover letter updates after a period of six months.

What if I’m not satisfied with the final version?

Your satisfaction is very important to us, which is why we will continue to work with you for up to 30 days to ensure you have a resume and cover letter that reflects your unique abilities and skill sets.
